“VISIONS OF WARRIORS” ADDED TO CALIFORNIA CENTER FOR THE BOOK’S “CALIFORNIANS: COMMUNITY CONVERSATIONS WITH VETERANS”
We’re deeply honored to be a part of California Center for the Book’s “Californians: Community Conversations with Veterans.” According to their site, their mission is “to help librarians of California get their communities reading and connecting.” Furthermore, the program is a partnership with Veterans Connect @ the Library, in which they “plan to offer 15 California libraries the opportunity to connect more closely with veterans and their families, while also helping veterans and their families connect to the community resources.” Veterans Connect @ the Library is, in turn, a partnership between California public libraries and the California Department of Veterans Affairs to connect veterans and their families to benefits and services for which they are eligible. “Visions of Warriors” is now one of the exciting programming options for “Californians: Community Conversations with Veterans.” Participating libraries will receive the DVD, library viewing license, discussion guide, and press kit. Thank you to Juliana Robbins, California Center for the Book, Eugene Owens, Veterans Connect @ the Library, and all the participating libraries for this huge honor.
